Jake’s heading over to the Tribe Called Quest show in Melbourne tomorrow night. It’s there first time touring in the southern hemisphere. Can’t wait to see the pics and hear about the show. Sounds like there are a few NZ’ers heading over, have a killer time..
Here’s a tee we got done for the show inspired by Bonita Applebum..
Ol ‘You Know We Aint Payin’ Nick Hyne took a few of us out to Japanese in Queenstown, at the Sake Bar. They take instax 10 polaroids of ya and give you markers to draw on them. None of us were particularly great illustrators.. but Nick’s pretty sweet at Japanese.

So last weekend the Lower crew went down to Queenstown. For some of us it was our first time and everyone loved it. If you want to have a good holiday definitely go to Queenstown. We had screeds and screeds of photos but we’ve put a few slideshows together for you to check out. To see them in better res check them out here at flickr.
Thanks to The Glebe for their awesome accommodation and help, they have the most amazing apartments and penthouses, make sure you stay there when you are in Queenstown.
We made sure we got out and about in Queenstown. We headed straight to Fergburger, made the most of the Sake Bar and had the yummiest pizza in town at Winni’s.
Thanks to Cardrona and Shelly for the snow passes. We had the funnest day at Cardrona. It is such an amazing setup and has the best views ever. Heaps of runs for various abilities. The pictures speak for themselves go shredding there.
Thanks to Alta and Quest for hooking us up with our snow gears..
Thanks to Hadyn, Fly and the team at the Ledge and AJ Hackett Bungy who were so amazing to us. Some of us had the most freaky and best time of our lives throwing ourselves off the ledge. You will not regret taking the plunge, go check them out and book a jump in. We will have some videos of our bungy jumps up on the blog soon.
We had a sweet time checking out the sites like Arrowtown and skating with Nick Hyne. And here are a few snaps our travel times.
Yes, at first I was put off by the name, but we struck into a couple of cans and read the ‘no bad stuff”, ‘1 serve of fruit’ ‘99% fruit juice’, ‘no added sugar’, ‘no artificial flavours or colours’ and ‘extra vitamin c’ and LOL became a definate favourite. Thanks Guy for hooking us up with a bunch, go try it out..
Our buddy Nate just put us on to this. Super dope check it out. It’s got some throwbacks of the Larry Clark’s 1995 movie ‘Kids’ which captured that early NYC urban atmosphere and influenced a lot of street wear and skate culture that we follow today.
Scored some cassette tapes the other day with some killer old singles including Guru R.I.P. and ‘The 2 Live Crew’..
